What if I told you I just did something I've never done before?

And I'm going to do it again.

On Monday, I hired a babysitter to watch my kiddos from 8:30am - 3:30pm and wait for it... I WAS AT HOME THE WHOLE TIME.  

And. It. Was. Incredible.

By scheduling my amazing Wyndy babysitter I got so much done.  (For those who don't know, "Wyndy" is an awesome app where you can schedule babysitters https://www.wyndy.com/parents) 

On Monday I spent seven solid hours in my studio.  I spent the majority of the time throwing pieces on the wheel while listening to Podcasts.  My hands are actually sore from wedging clay.

How much did this day of extravagance cost me?   A grand total of $84.  Don't get me wrong...that's a lot of money for our family.  But during those seven hours, I produced a couple dozen pieces of pottery, which I will sell for a lot more than $84. 

Ok, I'll admit it ... I felt weird.  At one point from my studio in our basement, I could hear the kiddos upstairs giving the babysitter a hard time... and I felt a twinge of guilt.  I called Buster to ask if I should go upstairs to help her out.  He said I should just "put in headphones"... I love that man.

When it comes down to it, it is just simple math.  I'm not costing my family money by paying $84 for a babysitter.  I'm actually costing my family money if I don't hire a babysitter.  

And I'm not being a bad mom.  They loved the Wyndy and she was incredible with them.  Plus after she put the kiddos down for a nap she folded two loads of laundry.

But it is hard for me to think like this.  I am so used to do everything myself, and just fitting in my business efforts in where I can.  But I'm learning that if I'm going to scale my business and reach my goals then I have to prioritize time where I can focus exclusively on my business.

So I can't wait until next Monday...I've already got the babysitter lined up!
